About This Quiz

"Remember When" you had "Friends in Low Places?" When it comes to music genres, you'll always find special artists who are able to infuse the "classic" sound with a new one.

Alan Jackson, a native Georgian, began his country music career in 1983. One of the best-selling country music artists, Jackson is well decorated in the industry. Not only is he a two-time Grammy Award winner, but he's also won 16 Country Music Awards and received a 2017 induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame. Although Jackson might be one of the best-selling country music artists of all time, Garth Brooks is one of the best-selling artists, period. Born in Oklahoma, Brooks began his career in 1984. Since then, he has become the second best-selling albums artist in the world, second only to the Beatles. While Alan Jackson and Garth Brooks have received major popularity in the country music genre, their successful infusion of different sounds set them apart from their peers.

With the introduction of country music in the 1920s, the genre would take off. While artists like Alan Jackson introduced the 1940's honky tonk to country music, Garth Brooks took the 1955 creation of rock and roll and meshed it with his country sound. Their different sounds were the background for creative lyrics. Can you tell them apart? Let's find out if you can figure out who sang these lyrics!
