In 1973, author William Goldman released his classic novel, "The Princess Bride." The film follows a young woman, who after falling in love with a farm hand, is kidnapped by a group of criminals and must be reunited with her true love. This comedic love story would go on to be adapted to film.

Under the direction of Andrew Scheinman and Rob Reiner, "The Princess Bride" was adapted to film in 1987 and starred Cary Elwes, Robin Wright, and Mandy Patinkin.
